The McFadden Group has been a fixture of the Lawrence business community since 1998. Led by Brenda McFadden, CPA, the firm draws on more than three decades of hands-on accounting experience to serve individuals, families, and small businesses across Douglas County.
Brenda holds dual degrees from the University of Kansas in Accounting and Business Administration, and her expertise spans individual income taxes, small business consulting, estate succession, and litigation support. Brenda McFadden is the owner and principal of The McFadden Group. She has been working in public accounting since 1993, became co-owner of the predecessor practice in 1995, and established the firm under its current name in 1998. With more than 30 years in the field, she brings a depth of perspective that is difficult to find at a larger firm.
A lifelong Kansan, Brenda holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Kansas — one in Accounting and one in Business Administration. Her areas of concentration include tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses, bookkeeping, small business start-up and succession consulting, estate succession, and litigation support.

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. We are closed on Sundays.
